


Born and raised in China, Yinghui Li is a bilingual director and writer passionate about telling stories of identity, womanhood, and transformation. She holds an M.F.A. in Film Production with a directing emphasis from Chapman University, where she developed a strong foundation in visual storytelling.
As a filmmaker working across both film and television, Yinghui continues to refine her voice through character-driven narratives that explore the complexity of the human condition. Shaped by her cross-cultural background, Yinghui approaches storytelling as a bridge between the personal and the universal. Having lived and worked between China and the United States, she is drawn to stories where cultures, identities, and emotions intersect.

Yinghui’s work has gained international recognition, with her films screening at the Oscar- and BAFTA-qualifying LA Shorts International Film Festival for three consecutive years. Her web series pilot Slobopoly (2023) won Best Comedy Series at the 43rd College Television Awards, presented by the Television Academy Foundation.
